This is something I have always wanted to do but Iv'e had an old Fiesta up till now.
I'd love to do this, but can't afford it

You should do it Martin, as it's only when you have your car on it's limits in a controlled environment on a track will you know what it's safe limit on the road is really.

My mate took that picture of me on the 'ring when we were there last year.

I think I'll have to pass on this one. I have a sneaking suspicion my clutch will probably need changing soon - I'm trying not to abuse it too much.

why is it slipping?

It just feels a bit like it did in my 1.7 when that was on the way out - changing gear feels less slick than it usually does. I think it's still the original clutch too - it's more or less at the same point that my 1.7 was when that started to let go.

It can wait for now, more pressing things to sort first.
