Has been nothing but pain and misery, but after three weeks of inclement weather, I have finally finished the painting, and ready for laquer tomorrow:
It's by no means perfect, but I've learned a lot along the way.
Oh yeah, the spokes glow in the dark too, and respond really well to forced light, the idea behind this is to get some stencils made with cutouts, and if I ever do a night photoshoot, I force the light through the stencil, leaving a bright shape on the spokes.

<- sunglasses needed hahah it certainly differant worth a try good to hear your learning as you go youll have to show us a night pic of the alloy
