Hi guys,

On Evilrob's recommendation i have come here to say hello, i've been a member of Puma People for quite a while, and been registered here a while but didnt get round to introducing myself!

My Names Andy, I have a 1999 Puma 1.7 in Melina Blue and have owned said car for about a year now, Previously i had a 1992 106 1.4 XSi, a 1999 Puma 1.4 in Melina Blue and a 1979 1.6 Capri in Midnight Blue.

Since owning the 1.7 i have been slowly restoring it to being fully operational, at first most of the cabin electrics didnt work and the ABS and TCS were unreliable. The only thing now left to do is get the passenger window not to stick on the way up, get rid of a clatter at 2000rpm (sounds heat shieldy), fix the factory spec rust on my drivers side rear arch ;) and sort the bonnet out (got attacked by birds before i owned, now permanently marked)

Chars!

Hi and welcome! Coincidentally the UPS man came to pick up your arch replacements this morning! I'll text you the tracking number.

Hello Andy. Funny you should mention the ailments to your Puma as our 1999 1.7 has exactly the same issues, well almost, the birds have not paid us a visit ...... YET!!! and ours is Blue ... well it's sort of blue then purpley ish then blue.... depends how the light reflects on it .... :?

Hi guys :)

Yeah most things have been done now, the passenger window and the 2k rpm clatter is a source for annoyance and what il be focussing on for the moment, the lack of a lights in buzzer is frustrating too, I imagine that's an issue with the switch in the door as I don't get an interior or door open light either....

Rob, the arch replacements turned up yesterday in perfect condition, next day delivery was impressive too, I hope your not out of pocket for that?
