Puma brake conversion in new Fifth Gear series

Interestingly there was an R Reg Puma on last nights’ new Fifth Gear Episode (which is sadly a bit hidden on ‘Quest’ TV channel nowadays on Thursday nights). Link here - about 22 minutes in:

A piece going over a drum to disk brake conversion. Something i’ve thought about on mine but never done. It was nice to hear Jason Plato describe the Puma as a a future classic too

I saw it last night and there was a fair bit of missed out info on it. First of all was the lack of info about the ABS which is most of the work in getting this set up working. Worst of all, though, was claiming that the car stopped better with the discs as without the ABS and 280mm discs on the rear as opposed to 240mm (260mm) discs on the front I would have thought that the rears would lock up all too easily.

The front discs look very large, maybe 300 mm types?
