This was touched on in another thread....

Basically, more by accident than design, I have found there is one of these track/rally circuit places only a few miles from me, where they have a 'fleet' of Rally prep'd Puma's.

Which I thought would be a possible idea for a meet sometime.... but seeing as there is an outlay involved thought would throw it out there and see what potential interest there would be....

The 'taster/experience' session is about £80... which doesn't seem the best value (but is fairly standard for these sort of things)...

They do the half-day/4 hour session for about £140 BUT depending on when/how it is handled & booked these are often reduced to £96 - much better value.

SO - would folks be interested at all, maybe autumn time....? [Not doing anything definite at this point... only putting feelers out].

The place is located just outside Banbury - so just southern end of the midlands, or the northern part of the south :p

Id definately be interested, but would depend on dates as I have quite abit going on in the autumn lol

Well that's 1, potentially, anyway.... :cheer:

I am going on the Field of Dreams principle here... "if I mention it (in advance) they will come".

I am definitely visiting them for a session at some point, but thought it would be good if some Puma folks came along... even if all of them don't seem inclined to belt round a muddy, gravelly track.

Sounds like a fun day mate :-D

Would be definately up for it at some point :D

I'm deffo up for this!!!!!

Rally prep PUMA on a rally track! HELL YES PLEASE!!!!!

HOLD ME BACK!

awesome! just depends on funds....iv got far too many projects on the go at the min which wont make any return for a little while.....

Sounds good... a growing interest.

Thought it best if it was mentioned just now and gauged any interest over the next X amount of time, can slowly start to piece something more definite together.

Later, Autumn time, seems good as the holidays and mad rush of summer will be out of the way, and those Ring'bound will have recouped their savings to blow on some other petrol related activity.

Well, I am a bit busy with work stuff just now and then I will be wanting to sort a few niggles with the car before driving the 8-10 miles or so to the Ford Fair meet....

but once on, further into August I will look into this a bit more... maybe with a tentative date in mind for September.

i would be up for this funds dependant!!!

is the insurance comphrehensive or can you end up financially liable if it goes wrong?? Obviously one wants to drive at the limit, well over it really! you have to break the limits to learn how to control a car at the limit!!

Have not scoured all the details.... would have thought it would mention it on the website somewhere.

Logically (which is no always the case, alas) I would have thought that you pay your money, do your thing and THEY are covered for any mishaps... it must be part of their own insurance cover for the business.

In other words, I would doubt you would be held liable for any accidents.... within reason.

Be the same as any other of the track/performance car lap packages.
