Puma starting issue

Hi,

I’ve got an issue with my 2001 Puma, which I’ve been slowly turning into a track car - it won’t start, since the issue began it did randomly start once but hasn’t since. The fuel pump does not prime at all, but is working as I’ve had it out to test it. The red light on the dash that is mentioned in other threads doesn’t light at all, not even when I ‘lock’ the car. The doors lock, the indicators sometimes flash and that’s about it.

The car is partly stripped out, but I haven’t touched any of the electrics.

Having read through a couple of other threads to attempt to fix it I’m still no further. Things I’ve tried the Button in passenger footwell; By-passing and powering the pump through the button in passenger footwell; And finally.. screaming & swearing a lot.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Chris,

If you can't hear the fuel pump prime then that is where to focus I'd say.

Did you have a read of this thread for ideas?
