hi all, me again.

Right had 2 minutes at the weekend so grab some quick shots of the puma. Photography would appear not to be a talent of mine so when I get some proper time I'll take it somewhere nice.

Anyway here is the initial shots on the drive. Wheels and suspension are the next mods. Wheels are team dynamics Race 1 in satin black, although they arrived damaged and neither the parcel firm or team dynamics are taking responsibility.

Wow- it looks awesome in white, can't wait to see this as it progresses

Very nice mate!

I would love a white frp with black wheels n carbonnet bonnet n roof etc etc. This is a gorgeous puma!

U have it painted yourself or previous owner?

I had originally bought it to cossie it, but plans changed and it was sat starting to go to waste(bought a mk1 escort to convert to historic rally, but cancelled this project as well and need to finish my escort cossie & build another one) . My mate owns a bodyshop and I work there when he needs extra hands, so as a gesture he sorted out 5 litres of diamond white and away we went. Would like to go carbon, but depends how much money I want to sink into it. Its meant to be a cheap bit of fun to cruise around in for a while, but being bitten by the bug!

uf.. oh.. hm.. now im thinking myself between "Black with racing white wheels" (cheaper option) , or "White Puma with racing black wheels".
Definetly looks perl :) I will keep checking your "garage", no doubt. :type:

black with white wheels is what mine is gonna be once i get my new ones but not you have made me think while im stripping it should i respray white lol....

5ltrs doesnt seem alot.

sanders, body filler, air gun, compressor, primer and paint (laquer?)

lots of skill required yes but hmmmmm

maybe next year lol... sort engine out first!

Ive been thinking about doing my puma white for a while now, it looks awesome mate, and with the black wheels it will really set it off! What color was it before?

I was gonna get mine done in white.. it does look awesome! Cant wait to see it with the wheels on it! :)

hi all,

Sorry I've not given an update recently. Working out in China at the moment, so puma white is sat out in the cold, whilst I'm the warm south thousands of miles away, wasting my evenings on free food and drink.

Update soon, I promise.

For now though...laterz

Think I just creamed! Nothing better than a nice car in white.. Apart from
a Puma in white!

Would definately look good with black wheels, tinted windows and maybe red brakes ;) absolutely love it!!

Keep it up :)

Hi all, time for an update. Finally had some time between work and now I've returned from my honeymoon to crack on with puma White. Came out on sat to two flat tyres, nails in both so I've taken the bull by the horns and splashed out. I have bought new 300mm discs, pads and calipers, lowering kit, rear drums, bearings, suspension top mounts and a few litres of dot5.1. I've also bought a few sheets of mdf and have a weekend of whipping it into shape.

So I've spent this evening building up the drums, gave them a few coats of black VHT satin as well as the centres of the front discs. Front calipers will get the same treatment. Tomorrow will be some higher grade wheel studs ready for some track abuse.

Audio wise I have a complete kicker install with audio control EQ, 2amps and 2 component set of speakers for doors and rear qtrs. System will be built so I can release the 2 12" subs when it's time to have some fun as it used to weigh 102 kg in my cossie pushing 132dB.

Well between falling ill with a nasty virus and getting free tickets to the whole weekend at the Grand Prix, this weekend I finally made some progress although nothing you can really see.

Missus set aside 5 hours for me so I went to town. Now the hot weather is over I've fitted a new aircon rad as the last one was holed and lowered the little fella 30mm as well.

Then i've stripped the rear brakes, fitted the new wheel studs, brake shoes, drums, slave cylinders and adjusted the handbrake. However its not fixed the issue of losing brake fluid and it looks like the clutch master cylinder has gone now. So to cheer it up i washed it and vacuumed it.

Wheels are finally shod with tyres, Yoko Prada spec 2 205/40 17, so all being well and good, I'll have the bigger brakes and wheels on at last next weekend. Haven't got any photos of the mods as the camera won't link to my PC.

Then its on with the stereo and no doubt some other maintainance along the way. So much for being cheap fun! lol
