Push button engine start

Hi, has anyone fitted a push button start.?

Rings a bell but can't for the life of me think who did it.

Sure someone will come along and give the answer if it has been done.

I done it to an mk5 escort years ago. Prob the same. Got instructions frmo Haynes modifiying manual.

It can be done, but whats the point - as in Yahoo listed in their top ten useless things for your car

you still need to insert key into ignition switch,so why not just turn the key when its inserted....

you can have it so that the key is only for ignition, when you turn it further it doesn't do anything so you have to use the button. Thats what I did on the escort many moons ago. Was cool, until the relay went faulty and I couldn't start the car and had to get towed on my way back from Newcastle to Aberdeen
