Question about ecu and wiring loom

Hello,

Some time ago, I bought a second Puma ... an 1.4 of 1999

But the previous owner killed the engine

before finding a better engine (1.6-1.7-2.0 or 2.5 V6),

I have one more engine : an zetec 1.25 of 1996 Fiesta

Do you think it will work with the genuine 1.4 ecu ?

I also have a 1.25 ECU and Fiesta 96 engine wiring loom, but this is not compatible with Puma 99 wiring loom (dashboard)

dont fit the 1.25 to save time source another 1.4 engine

Why ?

the motor is still functional ? this is only what I want for the moment

If it does not work, what are the solutions ?
because in France, an 1.4 zetec engine in good condition is rare and expensive (more expensive than what I paid for the car)

How much for the engine?

I can export very easily, don't have any 1.4 cars currently but I could do something if you are stuck.

Or fit a 1.7.
