Not easy at all, wouldn't advise it. It's easier to cut the lense holders out if you want to access the cover and then glue them back together
 
you really don't want to do that... very likely that you mess up your whole unit...

cutting the back of the lens open, with a saw and a dremel is the best way.
then you can push out the orange lens.. With care! then you can put a white lens in... and pull this up with some fish thread...

and it will look like this.

Simple answer...... Don't waste you time trying.

Even if you can get them sealed up properly, they'll never be the same again.
You'll lose the structural integrity of the fitting. It will bend and warp in the hot sun (if it exists) which will cause the front clear lense to crack.

I've opened a few sets to put LEDs in and each set had to be remade.
