I'm treading very carefully in the improvements to my new Puma, baby steps

One of the things a got me a little was how weedy the little horn was. This is it from about 2m away, shot from knee level.

My first reaction was embarrassment when I used it, and I imagine the subject of the honking might be more inclined to laugh than move, so I decided I'd update it somewhat.

I'm planning to go to a breaker's yard to get a used horn from a big car, which should have a big car sound. I've heard Mondeo's one is good, I'll see about one of those.
In the meantime, this is my Ebay bodge.

I bought a set of two-tone horns from Ebay, which were two-pin jobs, so I used some spade connectors to wire the appropriate connectors together; the 4 grounds to the long metal piece, and the 2 +12V terminals to a spade connector, which I connected to the the +12V terminal from the car.

The results aren't as dramatic as I'd hoped, nor are they as loud as advertised, but the sound is more like a car than a children's toy now.
