Found a site which supplies what appear to be the correct fixings although i've not ordered any to test the theory:

Stagonset Online Stainless Steel Fasteners
Stagonset Online Stainless Steel Fasteners

Although it's useful to note these do not have the same size head diameter.

The Ford sizes are:

3 x M6 20mm - 12.7mm head diameter
6 x M6 12mm - 15.0mm head diameter

The ones in the link only have a head diameter of 10.5mm

If you go for the version with a flange then the head diameter of those is 13.4mm which is an in between size for the originals.

yep, you need 'large button head'. very few places make them....

Or a normal button head and a washer ;)

Or just take the cover off and throw it away - it does nothing!

I use "Stainless steel Fairing bolts", which have a built in washer of 13.62mm dia, although there is a normal button head of 10mm. Had them from the local fastener shop and they cost pennies compared to what Fords/Fagins, sorry, Pumabuild charge.

are these the bolts I am looking for Jacko. the ones that attach the plastic cover to the top of it?

I clicked your first link and saw you had already added 3x 1 size and 6x another.

yep, the bolts i get are from a motorbike company for fairings etc...sounds about right
