slight knock from passenger seat

when theres somebody in the seat fine,when its not got weight on it,the back rest slightly knocks forward and back by id say 2 to 3mm.whats the solution?

Mine was the exact opposite and I found that a bolt on the subframe was missing - had actually sheared off for some reason. I simply put another bolt in there.

Worth checking if yours is the same.

Use the passenger seat belt to keep it back?
Probably just the tilt mechanism getting old and worn, hence giving more play.

You can loosen the latch pins on the seat for the tilt mechanism turn them 90 degrees and retighten and the unworn areas are holding the seat back in place and no more excessive movement
