Sound change since new tyres?

A couple of weeks ago I had a puncture, went to get it fixed and discovered tyres needed replacing front end. I had a choice of a brand I had never heard of an a few that I had, As a biker I used to use Avon, so I went with those. I have had new tyres on others cars over the years of course, but my Puma now sounds clearly different whilst on the motorway. And it is not a change for the good.... Am I imagining this or could there be something wrong?

I dont think theres necessarilly anything wrong just that different tyres have different qualities and noise is one of them.

Is it a sort of bing bong Avon calling kind of noise :-D

Probably just road noise. Can you feel anything through the steering wheel?

I think there's a road noise rating with some tyres now. Turn your stereo up!

Well, just to prove that I have not a single mechanical brain cell.........

Zara says its wheel bearings!!!!!

so I still love the Avon's!!
