My 1999 1.4 Puma developed the well known problem of stalling as the revs dropped off, often as the clutch was depressed. I cleaned the MAF. the clutch release switch, the tps and the icv and throttle body plus the switch connection at the power steering without solving the problem. I replaced the oxygen sensor and got a slight improvement. In the end I found that I was getting a weakened mixture because of a poorly fitting hose to the pc valve and a problem with the valve itself. A new bit of hose and a new pcv (cheap at 15 euros) sorted things. The pcv is a bit fiddly to get at but is made much easier if you remove the icv.

I think he is on about the Positive Crankcase Ventalation valve, its tucked up under the inlet manifold and has 2 pipes running to it :)
