Strange behavior

Having a weird issue with my puma. She runs fine under normal driving conditions but twice now when I have been pushing her along (over 5k in 5th) the heater starts blowing hot air through the vents even though the heater is set to cold and when I slow down again the air comes through cold again.
Anybody else experienced this and any ideas what might be causing it?

I could be totally wrong here but I think I've heard that the HCV takes a feed from the tacho?????

Interesting and would make perfect sense as the heater matrix would give additional cooling at higher RPM.

thanks guys, going to have to experiment a bit. I have also heard that the puma has 2 thermostats, dont know how true that is though and have never found a second one but if there is one that might explain it.

Really? My Puma engines have only ever had 1... unless yours is special..?

It was just something I read somewhere else on the net, I didnt think they did have 2 but I thought it dosnt hury to mention it in case I was wrong
