Sump plug 1.7

Ford are listing two different sump plugs for a late 2000 1.7 one has an integral "O" ring gasket, the other a separate gasket. Does anyone know if you need one or the other or will both fit? Ford Parts department don't know the answer.

You either need one with an integral O ring or if it doesn't then you need it in addition but either should work.

They likely have two listed as there was a newer style introduced as far I understand it.

If either fit than it shouldn't be a problem. Out of interest which is the newer version? Integral or separate washer? Ford is asking twice the price of one over the other, but I'd rather fit the later version regardless of price

Buy a decent magnetic one.

If you want a decent magnetic plug, I emailed this company some time ago, and they said that the following is the correct one for a Puma:
