Throttle bodies!

What size is the generally considered to be ideal for the 1.7? Would 40mm be okay?

I'm looking at some bike bodies to keep costs down, if anyone has any recommendations that would be appreciated :thumbs:

i think the 1.7 are 42mm and the 1.4 are 38mm i think but if you have bike carbs you have 4 of them so yeah 40 should be ok i would have thought

4 x 40's are more than adequate. DTM cars run 2 x 28mm restrictors with 500 BHP! Euro F3 cars runs a single 26mm restrictor

I think gsxr1000 bodies are the right spacing If u wana cut the 1.7 manifold down

I had one flowed by Jacko on mine, and it made a nice difference to responsiveness, as for BHP increase I'm sceptical - sounded good though!

It's not the spacing as I'd look for a set that can be split up, it's the size of the body itself, I know people use 1000cc jobbies on 2.0 so I assume they'll be too large for a 1.7, as the power would be too far up the rev range.

Its about individual throttle bodies, as in 4 of them... not a single one that you had flowed by Jacko.
