A ticking noise sounds from engine when cold but gradually goes after engines warms up. Just had Cambridge belt and water pump changed. Has anybody had similar problem

I believe everything but not sure the garage was the best. They left very little water in the coolant reseviour and told me radiator needed replacing. Is the tensioner bad news. Will it do any damage+

Well we aren't sure it is that but some people are of the opinion the cambelt tensioner is as likely to fail as the belt which could lead to the same likely replace the engine scenario.

It could also be the idler for the auxiliary belt or a noisy alternator or valve noise or even a little exhaust leak.

I would try and get it looked at by someone on here who knows their stuff for an opinion

If it's any help. The ticking noise goes after about 10 mins once engine is warm ?
