[geek] I knew that was an XJ220 as soon as I saw the wheels [/geek]

Crap episode so far otherwise.

I knew when I saw it written on the bottom of the number plate at the start :p

OK, I didn't notice the number plate

I'm pretty sure the airfield where the crap challenge was filmed was RAF Little Rissington in Oxfordshire - I recognise some of the hangars.

Well it only said "John Law Jaguar" on the bottom so not a give away that it was an XJ220, but then as you said, the wheels then fitted the scenario.

EDIT: A normal transit doesn't have this many extra dials on the dash either!

Bit more research:

:eek:k:

Same one that does the Goodwood festival:

Love the Transit.

Although not sure if Hammond was faking it when he set off in it. He did seem abit shocked at the end.

Liked the old Ferrais in there the 288 and 250.

[Broken Record mode] Neil if your not keen on it any more why keep watching it?[end Broken Record Mode]

I watch it in the futile hope they might make a decent, unforced show actually aimed at car enthusiasts, not the casual viewer. It won't happen though.

I always try and watch one episode a series. Luckily last night wasn't it and it seems I didn't miss much.

Any of the fan-boys (or girls) have a suggestion as to which is likely to be the least disappointing in this series?

Wroughton has been suggested elsewhere.

I knew that wasn't a standard transit as soon as I saw it... for starters of how bloody low it was!

it wasnt a bad episode - definately enjoyed the rallying at the end! :D

Neil every week TG is on you moan -why do you actually still watch it?! :?

See above.

I watch it because I have from day one, and have watched a good amount of 'old' Top Gear too.

I enjoyed the Escort Cosworth v Focus Mk1 RS bit... oh that was fifth gear this morning!

The rally bit was good :)

Thats why they state this!

VERY IMPORTANT: We ask that groups of people coming to the recordings have a roughly 50/50 male/female split. This is so we don't end up with a bunch of ugly male car geeks ruining everyone's Sunday night!

50/50 my arse - lol there was definately more blokes there than lasses yesterday

I would say the totty is good, look out for the blonde who is behind the chairs, I think she arrived in a Ferrari 360!

However the girl from Albana, who clarkson talks to is very very hot!

Just watched it on Iplayer and it was dire at best. Actually switched it off as the only interesting thing was the Zonda S and that was only because I just won the bugger on GT5 so was interested to see the real thing. The rest of the show I saw was pure crap and I normally like most things they do.

I didn't

Me neither. I'm not even going to rant about it as normal, simply because the show is not going to get any better. I've almost accepted it's gone completely down the pan, and that's that.
