Wheel centre caps.

Anyone got an Ebay link to the correct size of prop wheel caps for just the hole in the centre? I want to cover just the hole and leave the wheel nuts exposed.

I'm not sure how else I can describe it, but yeah, they would cover the hub nut.

If they are only 68mm across then they aren't going to cover the wheel nuts. I just need to know what size to get, rather than guessing.

The inside diameter of the hole in the centre of a Ford Puma Thunder wheel measures 52mm and the outside diameter of the wheel cap is 68mm. The Finis No. is 2M51-1000-M.
Measure the ID of your wheel centre, if its 52mm, that's what you require.

I've pulled a muscle in my back, which is why I'm stuck indoors doing dull stuff on the computer today.

Because I can't even get out to the garage, let alone bend down to measure anything, I thought, 'I know, seeing as these are just standard propeller wheels on a 1.7, I'll ask on the Puma forum where people are bound to have changed theirs as well in the past'.

When I'm better, I'll measure the hole. Thanks for the help, guys.

For the benefit other people in the future - the size of centre hole for the above is 65mm (a mate came round earlier and measured it for me.)

I'll try a 9 spoke cap in a prop tomorrow and see what happens.

I was sorting some pics ..........here's the final result for this thread. £10 for all 4 caps and no more original constantly flaking wheel caps for me! As a bonus, I think I prefer this look to the original.

Not sure I like exposed nuts :grin:

Mind you does make them easier to pinch.
