not really sure where this thread should go but here it is....
i have a circular crack in the upper tight corner of my windscreen(when looked at from drivers seat) it is supposedly a heated windscreen but takes far longer than the rear window to heat up and i always put the blowers on aswell to speed it up. i have rang a few companies in yellow pages an been quoted around £300 for new heated screen fitted, but had a quote of £190 for an unheated screen. how reasonable are these prices?any suggestions of were i might llook to find one cheaper?
cheers, Richard

Check if you're covered under your insurance. If you are, you'll only pay your excess £60-70 for either repair or replace, as chips and cracks are usually covered.

its about the size of a side plate so would think it needs replacing......only insured 3rd party so not covered unfortunately

after having mine replaced recently mate, i would say those prices are alright, i piad 190 to get a none heated one put in....ended up with a headted one but thats another story, remeber the guy saying they charge 340 for a heated screen
