Wing mirrors

Hi Guys,have looked back at all the relevant topics but cant find a guide to remove manual mirrors,,Would like to take them off to respray radiant red,,have tried tcutting which works for a few days,also the n.s. has a scratch and as the rest of the car is almost perfect(1or 2 stone chips)I,d like to keep her that way.Need your help once again!!,This little car is just so perfect and beautiful,,total gem,,love it.

Remove the control knobs from the mirrors (these just twist off). Unclip the interior covers where the knobs were. There's three nuts you can see, undo these and the mirror should be loose. With a bit of wiggleing they'll come out from the door. When you've got the mirrors out, to take the back plates off: There's a little self tapping screw inside the back plate, take that out. The only thing that's holding the plate on now is a clip that just pushes into the mirror housing itself. Pull that away and another bit of wiggleing (mirrror not you) will see the back plate come away from the mirrror housing.
Sorted, replacement is just the reverse.
