since then i have put blue on the black plastic bits on door (back of wing mirror cover, speaker cover and window switches surround) pedal covers aluminium with blue stripes put the neon switch in the side of centre console rather than hanging oh and shined up me knob with wait for it...

local (ish) metal polisher did a reasonable job with my knob not amazing as he didn't take that much care over it (did it in between other jobs etc) however it did only cost a fiver he was busy polishing an exhaust at the time and looks like thats more his bag it is a small business called...

well i have tried a teatowel, a duster just bare hands but nothing seems to work i had no problem with the missus's knob cos she wanted the leather richbrook one(couldn't handle the cold!) looks like the belt wrench is gonna be my only solution I have a knob in my drawer that will be sending...
