We had a rethink and decided that whatever she spends is going to be too much, so the car's up for sale for spares on eBay. Thanks for your help anyway - Hopefully another Puma will replace it! M.

OK - Having patched up Lauren's car we put it in for its MOT today. Of course there were some issues, but the main problem is that they refused to test the emissions because the engine was making rattling noises... It rattles on start up, but then seems reasonably quiet unless you really rev...

Only in relation to the interior - It's probably staying still in relation to the box! As someone said early, don't drive it like that!!! M.

Seems it always shows how much fuel it has, whether the ignition's on or not - Pretty sure my car doesn't do that, but it's working, so that's ok :D M.

Been for a quick 5 minutes around the block today. A bit of noise from the front end, might be the bumper as it's not 100% reattached yet. Could be the bonnet too as we're waiting on an undamaged replacement (air can get under the old one!). Mostly it seems pretty sound, except that the radio...

Just got Lauren's Puma on the road again and took it for a quick spin. A few little niggles, most irritating is that the fuel gauge seems to be permanently stuck at 1/2 full? It reads this whether the ignition is on or not... Any ideas where to start looking for a fault like this's cause...

I meant bumper, not bonnet. :doh: My question was how do you get tighten the nuts on the big bolts that hold the bumper on once it's fitted? M.

New radiator in and water tight, bumper's more or less back on (except I can't work out how to refit nuts to the big bolts once it's on!) and replacement headlight sourced. I need to replace the OS rear lamp cluster too, but I have one of those ready to go. It's been driven (only around the...

On a related note, has anyone got a description of how you refit the big bolts? I can see any way to get to them once the bonnet is back in place? M.
