I was in your situation about a month ago. Mine had just failed its mot badly and also needed a new clutch. I toyed with the idea of binning it off but came to my senses and now £700 quid later here i am! Worth every penny in my opinion :thumbs:

Before you start spending big money on head gaskets and water pumps, try changing the HCV My puma had the exact same problem as yours when i 1st bought it, the mechanic recommended changing the HCV. Now the temp on mine never goes past halfway and ive never had any temp problems since :ok:

I'm extremely pleased to say that I'm keeping my little cat after all! It's too good to sell or scrap so I've decided to do the work needed and get it back on the road :) These classic little coupes are too addictive!!
