    Torque limiter removal, ECU way

Pictures still look fine to me, I've since got a new Puma so will be doing it again. Might update the post with some better pictures and more info.

    Whobly stearing higher speeds

Will do soon as I get home, just jack it up and check for movement in the tyre up and down right?

    Whobly stearing higher speeds

Wheels have been balanced, and the alignment is spot on.

    Whobly stearing higher speeds

My Puma was brought in for MOT, new tires and new brakes. They also replaced the driveshaft sleeve on the right because it was torn. Since I got it back it has this wobbling feeling above 60mph, every small stearing input makes the car amplify that and the back seems to wobble a bit in the...

    Torque limiter removal, ECU way

Really sorry for the delayed answer again, not really active here lately. You are describing the same problem I was facing, because I didn't know how to wire up the switch to get the result I was aiming for. Luckily I found a guy who provided me a switch that did three thing. In position 1 it...

    Torque limiter removal, ECU way

Sorry for the delayed answer, but it's really easy. All you need to do is hold down the button which resets the trip meter while you start the car, and continue to hold it until it shows "test" in the display and the needles completely up and down. Now you can switch between modes with the same...

    Torque limiter removal, ECU way

My car does actually run really smooth with the limiter removed (better then before) but it does stall sometimes when pressing the clutch from second gear. Quite dangerous as I had it stall on me just as I was about to take a corner and the power steering stopped working :? I was actually...

    Torque limiter removal, ECU way

Removing the Torque limiter can result in broken driveshafts or gearboxes, so be warned. There are 2 ways for removing the limiter. The first one is by cutting wire from the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) from the sensor on top of the gearbox. This results in a not working speedo in Puma's with...

    Rally Tripmeter drive/sensors?

The earlier Puma's with an analog dash were operated by cable, and the later ones with digital dash were electronic. I don't know anything about high or low pulse, but if you have a analog dash, it's all mechanical.

    Special Editions

Would it be interesting to include special editions from other countries as well? I for instance, have a Ford Puma Century, which only came in Amparo blue, with leather Recaro seats, upgraded sound system and 9-spoke wheels (which are pretty rare here in The Netherlands). There were only 118...

    K&N 57i problem

Just like tuonokid says, it's probably the MAF, I had it disconnected once and it stalled fairly often, but that happened when it was warm and not cold. I also just installed a K&N i57 kit, and haven't had any problems so far, and I'm pretty sure K&N induction kits are pre-oiled when you buy them.

    Indicators sometimes not working

Well, since it started getting worse and they haven't worked for the past 2 days, I'm going to replace it and see if that fixes it

    Indicators sometimes not working

Is the relay causing this? pretty weird that it's working sometimes and sometimes isn't... :|

    Indicators sometimes not working

I recently encountered a problem with my Puma. The indicators fail sometimes. Even the hazards aren't working then. Then when I'm driving they sometimes start working again. I don't notice anything wrong with the stalk. Also they sometimes start working when I indicate and then turn on the...
