I couldn't wait till tomorrow so just popped to halfords and filled it up so its purring again! Why would it have gotten so low?

I checked the power steering fluid level and its very low, about a third full. I will get some tomorrow and top it up. Hopefully this will solve the issue but will still get the belt looked at on Friday.

Well I disconnected the battery and connected it to charger and left it for about 5 hours, connected it back up and everything started up straight away no problem. I am going to give it a full charge when I have the time but hopefully it will be ok for now. Thanks for your help

My sister has one of those battery chargers so I am going to borrow that and charge the battery first before anything else. I am based in Manchester like you so pretty close! Might be needing a new battery if thats the issue.
