i have ELM too and works just fine,tested on many fords,what aplication do you use?? I use Torque,and works just fine,maybe problem in elm interface??

you have to find relay that activates the fans,then check the power suply of relay ,is it +15 or +30 (from ignition lock power to constant (batery) power ) if it has constant power then you need to connect your switch to relay activation wire,if main relay pin hac power on it only when ignition...

just dipped,becose i think there is no point to put them in high beams,becose you cant flash woth them,it will kill the ballasts and bulbs and it takes time to heat up properly...

Boot release relay is on the side of the fuse box,by the clutch peg....i think there is a fuse next to it,i cant remember right now.but i dont thint this is your problem,try disconnecting the rear lock cables,you have problem in release signal,not in release actuator! Actuator is in the lock...

check boot release switch,on back side of car,under the boot mat,probably water damage on connectors,or micro switch on the lock !

you have to remove door pannel,then waterproof cover,then remove the glass,then you remove the rod that connects door handle and the lock,then remove the metal cover of the lock mechanism,then you can remove outer handle and the lower locking mechanism, Hope that helps,or you have illustrated...
