    My Aubergine shell

As per my post in my project thread. The aubergine shell is now £50 including bumpers. Need gone asap now. It's in Gatwick. Pic is in my project thread, can get others if required. It's converted for cable shift for MTX boxes but could be adapted back.

    Pumaspeed FRP fibreglass kit?

Would be really good to know if anyone has seen this and what sort of quality it is? Seems to be the only FRP kit available. I have this kit as an option or the S1600 kit, but it's a lot more expensive + wider which may mean more work at the front to get the wheels in the right place.

Parts from my Puma - will update as and when things come up!

Items in Gatwick Custom Longlife exhaust - 2.5" bore, not sure if this is suitable for the 1.7, perhaps someone can offer an opinion on that one, it will need adapting at the from to suit standard parts . Otherwise suitable for a project car, was over £400 new. Sold Vibra-technics...

36k 1.7 Engine, gearbox, partial interior

As title.. Engine and gearbox, covered only 36k from 2001 Y Reg. Looking for £250. Don't think this is too unreasonable given what they're going for on eBay with either much higher mileage or mileage not specified at all. Just front and rear seats. I need to keep doorcards for the time...

    2000 Ford Puma

Technically, this will be a shell, rolling shell or car depending on what goes with it and what someone is interested in/willing to pay. Car as it stands, resprayed in 2012 in Ford Aubergine (escort cosworth colour), was professionally mopped and polished this year and has only done a handful...

    Rear Shocks vs Fronts

Anyone know why the dampening rod on a front shock is larger than on the rear? Now I know that the front has the engine and shares some front passenger weight, but it's not really that much. The rear will share some front passenger weight, the potential for two more passengers, full fuel tank...

    My little boy (Cat)

The little man in question, Dusty (his sister is behind) Unfortunately we lost Dusty on Saturday as he had to be put to sleep. He would have been two this week - I hate that he was so young. The vets think he had FIP, feline infectious peritonitis, which is fatal. His symptoms developed...

    Front subframe torque

Anyone know the torque setting for the subframe bolts? Still in search of my knocking, so I'm going to try re-aligning and tightening the subframe. Thanks, Ben

    Genuine Ford lower arms!

I bought these to do an experiment to work out if it was my lower arms causing a knocking - it wasn't.. and I have no need for them. They were fitted to the car for less than 10 miles. Here are the before and after pics Before, out of the packets: After: You are basically buying as good...

    instrument lights dim

There isn't a switch to make them brighter. Perhaps out a photo up so we can see how dim you mean?

    uprated head light bulbs

Haven't tried them, but the Puma takes HB3 fitment, not H4.

where is the tow eye kept?

I think there's a plastic holder for it in the boot, or meant to be anyway. Someone may correct me!

    air lock in cooling system

Run the engine up to temperature with the expansion cap off. Once up to temp, turn the engine off, let it cool down to ambient and then put the cap back on. Sometimes general driving can shift the air too with differing revs and the the thermostat opening and closing.

    Front rubber suspension top mounts

Have done a search but not really found the information I was after (maybe I didn't search the correct terms?) Anyway, the rubber suspension mounts: http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_puma_front_strut_top_mountings_f_KIT1039001_c_357.htm Has anyone suffered incorrect camber from worn top...
