    FRP Lower Arms - Pair

As stated I'm on the look out for a pair of FRP lower arms. Just want to check if anybody has a pair before I get the welder out and make up a pair. Condition of the ball joints/bushes aren't important as long as the arms themselves aren't full of corrosion. Cheers

    FRP WISHBONES

Evening, Can someone give me a definite answer as to how much the FRP wishbones are extended by. I seem to be getting conflicting information on this one. Thanks

    Puma Eibach Springs Interest?

I'd be interested, but not at £220. Bit steep for a set of springs in my opinion.

Fuel light comes on for a short time, after engine start up

When my puma was sat for a while and the battery was almost flat. There was just enough juice in it to start it. Once it had all the warning lights lit up for a few seconds and went out again. Personally I think because the starter was using what wad left in the battery to start the engine so...

Fuel light comes on for a short time, after engine start up

I'm my experience, dash lights tend to do that when the battery is on its way out. Does it do it after long journeys as well?

Lester front fogs in lower grill

Not a lot of progress I'm afraid. I'm confident I have fabricated a good bracket for the light assembly to sit on. However, I'm struggling to get a bezel I'm happy with. Might even have to get some made, but it's where and at what cost

Hi Simon, nothing has come through as yet. You can inbox it to me if it's easier? Cheers

As they others have said, get a number of quotes and go for which you think is best :ok:

    Cam belt replacement tutorial?

Yes as Barry has said, if you've never done one before I wouldn't even advise you attempting the Puma. I've done a handful of timing belts myself and I still triple check everything before putting it all back together. It's not a hard job by any means as long as you know what you're doing...

Hi Simon, could I have a list please? Cheers

My view from work today :(

I can almost guarantee that will get a cat c rating. With regards to buying it back, they'll probably let you have it for about £100. I'd then spend the payout repairing it. Would be a real shame to scrap, especially with that proud mileage.

Heating has a mind of its own

Make sure you've got all the air out the system. Remove the radiator cap and run the engine at idling speed with the heater on full heat on position 2 on the blower. Squeeze the pipes to make sure all the air has been removed. You should be OK once the heater starts blowing hot then just...

    Am I missing something here?

That's if you pay someone else to do the work for you. I'm sure the majority of people would buy their own car and mod it up themselves for significantly less. Resprays aren't always required and it doesn't cost anything to strip the interior etc. Sorry if I appear ignorant but I honestly...

    Am I missing something here?

But you have to step back and think, who's prepared to pay that for a puma track car when you can get a very clean FRP for that, less in some cases. Personally I'd rather have an FRP.

    Am I missing something here?

Just spotted this on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Puma-1-7-Dunlop-Cup-Race-Car-/262121124018?hash=item3d07a2f0b2:g:A4cAAOSwhcJWNQKl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I couldn't help but wonder what made it worth asking £5500 for so I had a look.. Don't get me wrong it...

    advice needed

I agree with what the others have said.. However, even though it has high mileage, it could also be a decent motor providing the major stuff has been done, clutch, timing belt etc. For example, mine is a 51 reg with 100k. I've done the timing belt, clutch, wishbones, top mounts, rear bushes...

Lester front fogs in lower grill

I like these lights, I think they really suit the Puma and they're a nice little upgrade. I'm sure I have a set of these somewhere but for the life of me I've no idea where they are. They could even be in my mums garage but it would take me a month to find them  I'm going to have a...

    Fuel Level indicator circuit failure

Sounds just like what happened with my Puma when she died. Luckily I was only 3 streets away from my house on a supermarket car park when it happened. Started her up, started spluttering straight away as if it had run out of fuel. Tried to start again - nothing. Turned ignition on again and I...
