Good job we don't all like the same things eh?

Ok then Mac, just to keep you happy..

Good job we don't all like the same cars eh?

That better? Jeez, it's only a car forum, not the united nations.

OK, i'll make it simple for you..

Some people will like a car, some people won't.
Some people will post up that they like it and some people wont.
Some people will post up that they don't like it, and some people won't.

Personally, I tend to not post up when I don't like something as I'm a positive kind of person.

It was just a statement that there will be people that like the new Fiesta ST and there will be people that don't. That's why more than one car is made in the world and why:

Good job we don't all like the same cars eh?

or else there'd be no choice at all.

New ST Fiesta is a great looking car, sporty without being in your face.
Finally will this be Ford's spiritual successor to the Puma ?

Better than the Spirit Blue ST3 Focus I have on order ? (I really wanted a 3-Door and this Fiesta ST, may just be perfect, will have to see read the press reports).

I'll be test driving one when our local dealer has one in (which is what I was sorting out when Dal spent 20 mins staring at the 1600 mile white FRS), to see how it compares to my MK6 ST if nothing else. If I like it enough, I'll get one, it just won't be straight away, it'll have to wait until we've moved at least, as that's the priority.

There's very little point in me saying I don't like any car, as I usually end up changing my mind! I never used to like the back of the Puma or the MK6 Fiesta, I've had two of both of them now.

Not in a million years.

A warmed-over shopping trolley can't replace an individually styled coupé.

It's the spiritual successor to whatever the last top-end Fiesta was called.

something tells me you aren't very keen on it, Rob!

according to today's Mail on Sunday 15,000 have been ordered already

I know it's pretty much inevitable, considering that we're all here because of the Puma in the first place, but why does every new small sporty Ford get compared to the Puma? Why can't we just take the ST on it's own merits?

I've seen so many posts here, and on other forums criticising this or that aspect of the car, part of me wants to get one just because I know it'll annoy people!

If it was available in the pre facelift spec like all the spy shots, I would have been interested.

Gaping front aside, it's nowhere near as overdone as the Focus ST, and the interior isn't as tacky.

These Focus ST seats, for instance, are horrendous:

Neil, the Fiesta ST seats are the same: http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/FutureVehicles/Fiesta-ST" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I like them, they're more similar to the MK2 Focus ST seats than say the Millie Recaros were.
:p

Shame. Without that fussy fake tyre tread effect, they could have been ok. As it is, they resemble most of Ford's current range - an overstyled mess.
