Aftermark levelling headlamp and headlamp washer need help

Hi guys!

Need help with reading/understanding the rules when it comes to aftermark HID.

I found 2 universal set on ebay

my question is do the autoleveling set need to be E-approved?

tbh why would you need self leveling headlamps,puma already has interior control switch for head lamp leveling...
hid's are a grey area,some members do have them fitted and passed an mot but it is down to the mot inspector aswell if he will let it pass

because you need automatic light levelling and head light washer to add hid/the rule
puma have only manual.

For headlamp wash, you would be better trying to source the parts from a 95-99 Fiesta, headlamp wash was an option on those, so certainly the washer bottle (replacing OE) and pump would be easier to install.

Headlamp wash should work when the lights are on and you use the windscreen wash.

Auto levelling should be pretty straightforward.

Biggest issue is probably using a suitable lense.

No, those are both just the same as what is fitted to your car, you need the parts from a suitably equipped Fiesta. Try looking on eBay.de for people breaking Fiesta's, or try getting the parts new from Ford.

Okay, I thought I might could use the SCREEN WASHER MOTOR but it wouldnt work?
I will look on the ebay.de. I udate the right picture when I find something.

You would need a second screen wash pump, with only a single outlet, for example from a courier van, and you would need to make a second hole in your washer bottle to fit it.

My earlier question does the automatic leveling unit for the headlamps need to be E-MARKED.
The seller said it wasn t E-marked.

have a read through that and that will explain more about what the DoT says you can and cant do.
remember that the puma headlights are not type E approved to allow hids to be fitted,hence why people fit them to the puma and why they didnt bother with the washer and headlight leveling system.

Cheers martinthrapston for the hid reglement, I coundt find anything with the automatic leveling that it had to be ECE so probably go for the cheapest.

mm the ECE was harder to take since the headlamp looks to be made for HID. So I am back to scratch.
If I mount HID projectors ECE approved will it work? You think ?
