airbag light flashing.. i changed seats .. now sorted thanks

hi to all, yesterday i changed the seats in my
puma to put in the older model seats and now
my airbag light flashes... it flashes 5 sets of 4
flashes then stays on.. the older car had no problem
with the airbag light staying on.. can anyone help...

you need to fit the original pretensioners on to the new seats,and did you turn ignition on with them disconnected?

If you've swapped newer seats with older ones... or visa versa... you need to change the pretensioners too!

One torx bolt on the side of the seat will allow you to manipulated the pretensioner out.

i wish i knew yesterday that i had to change tensioners,
the older car is a cube now, got crushed.....
if i get a set of tensioners out of a newer puma will they be ok ?
i had the ignition off while i changed seats...

Wish I had read this yesterday bedore I changed my seats and reallised the plugs were not the same

Anyone know if its possible to remove the pretensioners with the seats in place or is it seats out again ?

Look for the torx bolt which hold the seat belt. If you can't get to it, then I think it's seats out again.
I'm pretty sure you'll need to take them out again as I think I had to remove mine when I swapped the seat belts over.

I have a pair of pretensioners from a T reg car, removed when I swapped the seats to buckets and I couldn't dump them with the seats. Pickup only obviously as you cant post them. Free to whoever wants them.
