The Big Kat's battery has died.

It needs an HB110

Looks like around £110 from Halfords.

Any suggestions for a better source?

Many local motor factors will get better ones than Hellfrauds. I know it may sound daft, but my dad's merc needed a new battery a while back and mercedes themselves were cheapest for an OEM. Maybe give Jag a ring just incase?

I agree with the above suggestions.

Halfords always last choice for anything for me.. well maybe joint with kwikfit

Partco - £46.79 + VAT :)

The dealers were around £80 - so still a wiser choice than Halfords.

I paid £90 for mine from motorworld. I paid through the teeth but its got a 4 year warrenty and its basically capable of starting 747.

I didn't even ask about warranty.

The chances of my having the car in three years even are minimal.

The spec is a little higher than the current (hehe) fitment

As i cycle to work 3-5 times, mine might not move for a few days so its worth the peice of mind of knowing it will start when i get in it. It apparently affects your fuel too but im not sure how true that is, i thought your alternator took power all the time no matter what. Though having a dud one would give the spark plugs less juice so that might affect it.
