Cigarette lighter socket too small?

Greetings!

I'm trying to get an FM transmitter to use my ipod in the puma. The first one I tried with a charger wouldn't fit into the socket, the socket was just too shallow.

The second one just about fit, but no power came through and I don't think it was fitting properly at the back end to make a connection.

Does the puma have a non standard cigarette lighter socket?

It's driving me nuts.

Is there an adaptor I can get?

Google is no longer my friend as I can find f**k all about this on the net

IIRC oriental cars have a different sized cigar lighter socket.

If the item you bought is from China/Japan then this is likely the problem...
