hi,
right, got the 51 plate thunder delivered today,
it was accident damaged but rear damage is nothing,
so went to start it and the engine spins really fast like it has no compression,
took cambelt cover off, they are turning fine,
oil level good, coolant fine,
not much pressure in fuel rail,
inertia switch ok as i reset it a few times,
but even if theres no fuel pressure it doesn't explain the engine spinning real fast,
any ideas???

mmm,
now thats possible,
the rear damage was so little that it almost looked like it had been done on purpose just to get it written off,
i'll see what the compression test shows,
need to see what engines i have lying around i can bang in it if it's knacked as body and interior are stunning,
no rust or bubbling anywhere,
wonder if i can bang this small block chevy in it !!!!!

Hmm, start a project thread... quick!

think i've got a jag irs in there somewhere aswell,
also a posi trac from my corvette or camaro,
a few more beers and i might spend the night in the garage, planning,

Ian G of Puma Bits (link in sig) is a good the best man to talk to if it turns out the engine is bollocksed and you need a good replacement (i.e. one that he's taken out of the car himself so has its history etc).
