situation is this. i was in front of the lights. lights turned green, i proceeded to turn right. immediately on the right is a pedestrian crossing. pedestrian crossing lights turned red. I stopped. fucking taxi behind didnt and drove into my left side rear bumper, cracking it and smashing the rear fog lights.

Taxi driver wants to settle it privately and details were exchanged. did an online check on his car and he is insured. he wants to bring me to a garage to fix the bumper but i suspect the chassis behind the bumper might have bent. Also wheel alignment is off steering wheel is veering right by 15 degrees.

am thinking i will just sell off the puma and save me the trouble of repairing it. if it is doesnt sell, i guess I will break it for parts. quite sick of having to repair all these human created problems.

- chavs kicking the window mirror backwards
- chavs dump trash from the road all over the car
- thieves smashing both driver's side windows: repair windows...
- helen driving into a van: bent front lower sub frame, damaged coilover, bought spare track rod end, wish bone
- fucking taxi driving into me: bent rear chassis?? tracking off again

problems seem to be all human related and none mechanically related...

Have you considered moving...sounds like most of your problems are to do with the people in your area i.e. No F'ing respect!!

i think the best option for the taxi driver is get a bumper off ebay and pay for the labour to get it fitted up. that would be the cheapest option for him. other wise he will have to pay about £200 odd to get the bumper repaired and painted.

Get him to bloody pay for it mate.

You would win through the insurance as he went into you. Or get him to pay for repairs at a garage of your choice i.e. get some quotes done to get a proper idea of any damage.

I have a good mind to sign up for a traffic police position and fine/arrest cab drivers at night for speeding, irresponsible driving, running the lights, and driving without due care or concern. Would get promoted fairly quickly with the amount of cab drivers around.

Elvin i would consider going through your insurance. In this instance you call all the shots, if you do it private you pick the garage yourself.

Taxi driver took me to a garage which he used for getting his car fixed from a previous accident.

Quite a shabby place compared to pumaspeed and other specialist garages... He has agreed to pay for parts and labour and I think it is best not to take advantage of him so I am getting a 2nd hand bumper from ebay and get the garage to fix it (I wouldnt mind fixing it myself to get exprience) but I dont have time to do it though. I might get the garage to jig the car as well after Helen had her accident.

I had the car inspected after Helen had her collision and the conclusion is the lower front subframe is out and car needs jigging. Havent got round to fixing it and now this....
