Huntingdon Racecourse, Cambridgeshire

Official show site: http://www.fitp.co.uk

The 2009 show was a great success,we had approximately 2000 cars from
various Ford clubs (not just Fiestas!) and plenty of trade stands .
This year will see the 12th ‘Fiesta In The Park’ event and is aimed to be
bigger than ever before. Once again the event will be held at Huntingdon
Racecourse which proved itself to be a great venue for the last 3 years. In
2010 we will be building on the successes and improvements brought in
each year to deliver our most enjoyable event yet.. It will be held on Sunday
16th May 2010, gates open at 5.30am for Traders and show cars and to the
public at 9am.
Due to the huge popularity of the show we operate a “ticket only” entry to
the display area for show cars. Tickets allow a car
and ALL OCCUPANTS to enter the park and display their car in the show
area. It is STRICTLY FORD VEHICLES only in the display area.
(except traders vehicles), if you turn up in a non Ford car even with a ticket
you will not be allowed to display your car in the show area.

Tickets are £8 per car, and show plaques are an optional £1 extra.

Your car doesn't have to be in concours condition to be on the stand, but clean and tidy and in a reasonably presentable condition is all we ask. We don't mind rust, it's a Ford after all!

As with previous years, we'll meet nearby around 7am, and convoy to the show site. I'll post up specific meet point details nearer the time.

As it's such an early start, and a long day, I really would recommend stopping somewhere overnight if you've got a long drive to get down to Cambridgeshire.

There are a few local hotels, the nearest is the Premier Inn at the junction of the A14 and A1. There appears to be rooms still available, but if you're thinking of staying there, you do need to book early. As it's literally only a mile and a half from the Show site, it's the first choice of many people who are attending the show.

If you're in the area the day before, consider tagging along to our meet where we're going to go and visit the real life puma - Demelza - that we sponsor: http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=6685" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you don't have to be a sponsor to come along though. <Postponed

Put me down for a ticket + plaque

(I didnt get my plaque from 2008 :-( I dont mind really, maybe you can get back dated ones too :D)

im gonna try to be there.... badger me nearer the time!

You'd better be there Jacko - you're bringing something remember that you're working on that we'll tell everyone about nearer the time?!

Seeing as i'm nearby i might as well go!! Hopefully by this point my project will be complete which would make for an interesting show car :) I only live about 20mins from Huntingdon so i can turn up early as i like! not to mention my brother lives in Huntingdon so i may invite him if he is free.
