front seats don't fit

so as per my other topic on here i went ahead bought the leather seats i was interested in. Upon getting them home I've found the brackets are considerably different to the old seats. Quick search reveals earlier pumas such as mine have the fiesta 3.5 floorpan and the laters have mk4. Mine is a 1998 model and the seats are 2001. So has anyone come up with a way to fit these or is it a no go?

Get some Mk 3.5 runners and swap them for the ones on the newer seats (or take the ones off your old seats)

that wouldn't work but got is sussed now was a bracket that comes of the floor which i thought was part the floor panel but turns out if you peel back the carpet its bolted on.
