Just info needed.. Is there anything physically different on a frp engine to determine its a frp engine to a standard 1.7 standard engine. Is there anything marked on the cams to identify non standard..

The engine itself is standard with uprated cams.
I didn't notice anything marked on my cams to say Frp specific altough I'm led to belive that the lobes are around 2mm bigger
You also have the Frp inlet manifold on the front!
These along with a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and a modified airbox with a cold air feed, tweaked ecu, makes the Frp what it is!

Hope this helps

Yeah I know about the inlet and exhaust/4 branch and ecu. Was just on about a bare engine.. Got the chance to buy one but just wanted to know if I could spot anything to make sure if was frp and not standard as the price of both engines are totally different

I wouldn't pay much extra over a standard engine for an FRP one as it'd probably be cheaper and give better results to put aftermarket cams in a standard 1.7
