Fuel cut-off switch

Just a quickie - should the fuel cut-off switch be normally down or up?

Down. Under impact it pings up.

Thanks _must be some other reason the fuel pump is not working. The fuse had blown, but replacing it didnt work. Relay is fine.

Sounds like the pump is at fault then, fuses usually go when they are under strain

Before you buy anything just check to see if you have an electrical supply to the pump. Access to the wires can be had from under the back seat if you don't want to unplug anything.

Thanks, Barry, I'll do that. Car has been idle for several years following an accident, so I was expecting trouble!

If it is several years since its been started I should get rid of the fuel that's in it before you try to start it and change the filter.
