Hi everyone I am having a problem with my 97' Puma today I tried to start it and it was cranking long but didn't turn on, figured out the fuel pump wasn't priming tried to unseize it didn't work tried another fuel pump from my other Puma that is working and still the same what should I look at next? Cheers.

Voltage to the middle pin of the grey fuel cut off plug to see if the pump runs.

If so then your pump is OK and you can implicate fuse and relays.

Fuse is number 35, rightmost 10A

Relay is number 3, second from the right of the set of four brown ones. High beam is leftmost so switch those two and see if the fault moves.

Edit for anyone reading this with a newer car - this advice only relates to older style fuse box with the four brown relays across the bottom row.

Thanks for your help I checked all of the above, everything was fine turns out it was the fuel cut off switch that was giving me problems I just reset it and pump primed and car turned on! :)
