i recently noticed my heater blowing cool after i overfilled with oil could this be the cause as the heater was absolutley fine before this, any help would be gratefully appreciated cheers

Wouldnt have thought so..... would have thought the timing is coincidental and that the HCV has 'died' in one way or another..

I mean overfilling with oil can cause issues wouldn't have thought the heater blowing cold was among them - am also presuming it wasn't filled hugely beyond the recommended mark.

Anyhow.... heating/heater related issues, the usual suspect is the HCV (heater control valve).

Check HCV by disconnecting electrical cable heaters should default to hot if they go back to cold on reconnection hCV faulty

There is a guide on how to fit an HCV: http://www.projectpuma.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=2432" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; however, the photos have since been moved and/or delete by the original poster. The HCV is always located behind the bulkhead, right in the middle.

Found it as you described, messured both pipes with a tep. gun reading 67 degress celc. That means it works!
My hand regulator in car must have got stuck! There is a very little diff between cold/hot.
