High Revs At Start Up

Noticed for the last few days when the Puma is started from cold the engine shoots up when fired to around 3000RPM or slightly higher before dropping down to idle when the engine has warmed up?

this only happend when the engine is first fired from cold for a split second. any ideas would be much apreciated :thumbs:....

cheers guys for the info :thumbs: ! the thing that botherd me is it only used to fire roughly at 2000RPM and dropping straight down, now its crept up 1000RPM higher to roughly 3000RPM..
