Hi all am new to puma ownership having bought one last week for 350 quid.... Did have a few niggly faults (windows not working, blocked washer jet, filthy interior, parcel shelf falls out, alarm won't switch off easily so have to leave it unlocked, the list goes on....). But bessie as she is known (previous owners choice, promised to honour it) does have an mot til June and runs pretty well. Have had and worked on loads of fords in the past (3 xr2i's, escort gti, xr2, 2 sierra saffs, granny mk3 etc....). Anywho..... Hiiiiiii!!

Well after 14 months of ownership, 2 mot's, no breakdowns and only a sticking caliper to be repaired between mot's I'm back... So I thought I'd revive my thread in the newbies section as I've been popping in occasionally but not contributed much thus far.... Hoping to become a bit more active as I feel that I want my car to become my hobby again after a few years out of 'the scene' thanks to parenthood, change of job etc... So if you'll have me back, hi again!

Well I'm always partial to a pint! Once Bessie's (my puma) been put to bed of course :)

Cheers Mac :)

From the above list of faults, I fixed all but the parcel shelf which now normally just resides in the boot! I will try and upload some pics soon (pain having to upload to computer, then photobucket, then link. Tapatalk would be a god send for those with smartphones!).

Basically all i've done in the last 14 months and 4000 miles is drive her! She is still rough looking but for what I paid can't really expect anything less, still drives well although she's screaming out for oil and filter, cam belt and water pump which I intend to get done ASAP. Fairly well versed in 90's fords but had little hands experience in a while so really need to get my spannering confidence back.

Anywho, I'm from the Lowestoft/ Great Yarmouth area so if there's any other Ford fiends this way who need a spare pair of hands (or fancy a pint!) just gimme a shout!
