Well I am in a similar position!
I have only recently purchased my FRP and can do about 140 -210 miles per week. I still have my old car ( A Rover 200 ) which is still as reliable as anything so I have considered getting re-insured on it to save some mileage. But then trying to work out the cost of insuring 2 cars and putting petrol in 2 cars it does seem like it could be quite a bit more to be honest.
I mean yeah it is putting more mileage/wear and tear on the car, but HEY! Its a frikin awesome car to be driving all the time! I love it, and I would know if I did drive the Rover all the time i'd be thinking "I wish I was driving my FRP right now".
Whilst talking about mileage, I have done over 400 miles in a day and a half! It has been the ultimate test for the car! I have checked for additional stone chipping everytime I have got out the car lol, luckily there have been none!!
The rear arches are due a respray soon anyway.
