locks !!!!!!

right i have decided to change the comp[lete lock set on my puma as my others have seized due to non use from a previous owner so i am doing front boot and ignition i just wanted to know if there was anything i needed to look out for when doing this?

was wondering if that was alright.

And am i right in thinking that the chip inside my exsisting key will be alright to put straight into the new one

I replaced the locks on an XR4x4 some years ago, and a complete new set was under £100.

Is yours an RF or IR remote - that one appears to be IR. Also how many keys do you have? If you have two, then rather than swap your transponder, I would just "add" the new key.

Actually that is an IR one, but there is only one key? Seems very expensive.
