I wonder how long before Mac turns up with a wedge of cash... I'll take the 20-30minute slot in the sweepstakes. :-D

Or PaulOb1 would probably a) have the cash and b) become sexually aroused by this.

Pumabuild also only got a block, crank and rods, they were doing the rest theirselves, these ones are proper and you want to see the head work it is phenomenal.

The head itself has had to be machined out to get the lift on the cams, with much bigger diameter buckets or else the cams would have hit the side of the standard ones!!

Here we go:

the pumabuikl head is straight from swindon racing. pumabuild just assembled the long block with the manifolds. Pumabuild dont have the skill or facilities to do head work. theyve always got someone else to do that.

yes I have to say I am well chuffed, we have a few things to sort out but it is going in me little toy, just thinking |I might buy anoteer frp to put this in...

They push the heads out to Toovey in Shropshire

hello mate looks awesome, will it fit in the car with that inlet system on it?
what ecu will it be on and will you be having it mapped on a dyno, would be interesting to have it on ours to see what power it makes.

I might have to shorten the intake slightly, doing a bit of research on ecu at the moment, they ran Motec originally back in 2002, so looking at that or maybe DTA. Yes will have it live mapped, peterborough is not too far from me.

well im building an up specced big valve super 1600 engine as a 1679cc on the original s1600 pectel t3 ecu as we did the engines for ford, and looking for 245bhp would like to see how much more power the 2 litre would make as i thought the valve size even after enlarging them would be too small for 280bhp. does the engine run vvt ?

No vernier adjustable fixed.

The cam lift on these engines is immense, the head is machined out to cope with it and the buckets are nearly twice the size of standard.

do you know the lift in mm of the cams as if there that big it wont tick over below 2000rpm.

the cams im using will have 12mm of lift and wont start without bump starting the engine if the vvt was taken off which is fine for a race car as they never drop below 6000rpm but am i right in thinking your car will be road legal?

I know it will be pretty lumpy, but it is only an occassional road car so can live with that.
