New Standard Brakes 240mm

Afternoon,

Looking to change front brake discs and pads as current ones are tripe.

Road only use, any particular recommendations for standard brakes? Mintex (non race pads)/pagid/brembo

Anyone still on 240mm discs who has greenstuff pads on, is there an appreciable difference upgrading for day to day use?

If current ones are a bit spongy too, is that likely to be brake fluid or brake lines?

I had greenstuffs once and the brake dust was quite excessive! Any performance upgrade was negligible IMO. Personally I'd go for the mintex pack that includes pads and discs - great value for money:

If the brakes are spongy, then I'd definitely change the fluid.

Change the discs and pads, flush the brake fluid with new stuff and it will be more than sufficient for road use.
As above I've used the Mintex and they were fine.
